Strelitzia Nicolai

The Giant Bird of Paradise.  A beautiful plant, similar to Strelitzia reginae, the normal Bird of Paradise, but of larger proportions.  It becomes a tall tree of up to 10 meters.  It is clump-forming with large oblong leathery leaves.  The white-blue flower grows among the leaves. Often confused with the banana plants, it does not look as tattered after strong winds.  Excellent for a tropical look in your garden. 

Likes full sun and plenty of water.  Fertilize once a month, it loves it. Free of pests and diseases.
