A tree for each newborn child

On March 19, 2004 the first planting took place, for all the children who were born in 2004. It was a beautiful sunny Saturday morning, ideal for such an occasion. Lots of people had gathered, mostly the young couples who gave birth to children in 2004. In a happy atmosphere filled with kids voices and laughter, after the mayor's welcome address, the parents took charge and planted the trees for their children.
The whole event was announced in CyBC (the national radio) and on the evening of Saturday, a report with footage was broadcasted on the main news report of CyBC.
